Love At First Sight

I have never believed in love at first sight. Until yesterday afternoon.

I was at Takashimaya's Kinokuniya. I'd just made my latest purchase of Nodame Cantabile volume 20. I was on my way out of the shop, when I saw it.

It was sitting quaintly on the shelf. With a white-ish grey cover that reminds me so of the olden english days. "Sundays at Tiffany's" by James Patterson and Gabrielle Charbonnet, the cover read. I halted in my steps. Automatically, my hand shot out and grabbed it off the shelf. The minute I finished reading the synopsis, I knew I was gone.

I was ensnared. Completely.

I looked at the price tag and gulped. Reluctantly, I put it gently back onto the shelf. That night, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I want it, I want it, I want it...

After work today, I could stand it no longer. I dropped by Kino at Bugis and there I saw it again. I picked it up gently and gazed at it with longing eyes.

Until Muffin could stand it no longer and screamed at me to just buy the frickin' novel. LOLLL!!

So. I bought it.

And I am absolutely delighted, wonderfully elated and joyfully ecstatic.

Oh, and by the way? I still don't believe in love at first sight (unless it's with regards to books or music). Call me a skeptic if you wish, but such is reality, no? x)

Comeback

Hellooo people! Yes, I'm still very much alive. Yesterday morning I went to Sentosa with my colleagues and we played football with my colleague's 4-year-old son. I haven't been to Sentosa since MMM during Orientation in Meridian JC about 2 years ago. It was nice to be walking on the sand and to enjoy the sea breeze for a change. I'm not really an outdoors person, but yeah it was a relaxing trip. I left at about 1pm cos I had to go home and change for a concert that night. Of course I couldn't resist dropping by Candy Empire in Vivo City and splurged on unhealthy, fattening but soul-satisfying, therapeulistic junk food and chocolates.

Last night was the annual East Zone JC Chinese Orchestra Concert. Went there with my EXCO members, Si Han, Elvia and Geraldyne to support MJCO. I really do miss MJC a lot. Work is no fun. I'd rather much be studying in MJC right now. I even miss wearing uniform to school. Sad to think that I'd never be wearing a school uniform ever again. I was a kinda late (as usual) and took a cab down to VJC. MJCO's holding room was the same, so I just walked right in. LOL. Saw my section and my juniors and I am so surprised to see my once-female dominated section turn into an all-boys section. o.O Wow.

The concert programme was all right. I liked the dazu songs and they were mostly familiar pieces that I'd either played before or heard of. VJCO played Ju Hua Tai!! Love that song! I still remember those times during CO practice breaks where Jin Jia, Felix and I sat by the side of the hall and played Ju Hua Tai. LOL. And omg, the cello solo at the beginning was bone-melting. It was SO NICE!! Whoa the tone. My goodness. My hair stood man.

After the concert, Xiao Sian, Yiting and I took the bus back to MJC with the CO members xP. Hahaha. Ah, I was flooded with such feelings of nostalgia as I strode through the corridors of MJC once more. And dang, how come there wasn't a pool table outside Perk Cafe during our times?! Lol, no fair.

After they kept all their instruments and all, we went for a section dinner. Jian Yao, Felix, Bryan, Xiong An, Xiao Sian, Yiting and I. Although Xiong An isn't from Xian Yue, but he's mostly always joined us for dinner anyway xP Haha. And they all REFUSED to go white sands for dinner. Sheesh. White Sands isn't all THAT bad lor... We ended up going Airport. LOL. And we waited a heck long of a time for us to get a seat at Fish & Co. and an another heck long of a waiting time for our food to arrive. Haha. But it was nice catching up with them again. Section dinners have always been insanely filled with laughter, joy and all that ridiculously funny stuff. And I really take my hat off to Felix man. How on earth he finished the entire platter of swordfish thingy was beyond me man. Lol! And thanks a lot for spraying me with lemon juice -.- LOL.
